Ellie Perry Named Academic All-Star

Perry is one of only ten students in the USA to be accepted to a weeklong program at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City last month. She participated in the Opera Memphis Summer Conservatory for four years and the Brevard Music Festival, a highly competitive program for serious musicians. She was accepted into the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts, where she was the lead singer in the end of season performance. She participated in the All West Honors Choir for three years. Last year she won first place in the Beethoven Club Young Artists’ competition and first place at the Orpheus High School Vocal Competition. She was a semifinalist in the Hal Leonard Vocal Competition.

A member of the school’s Women’s Choir, Ellie also serves as secretary for the Chamber Choir, where she has been a member for three years. She is a member of the International Thespian Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She was selected to be a Leadership Collierville participant, where she learned to communicate effectively and work as a team.
