Lady Dragons Lacrosse Tryout Dates Announced

The girls' lacrosse team will be hosting tryouts for the spring team, Wednesday October 4, from 3:00pm-4:45pm at Johnson Park. All girls must have a current physical-dated after April 15, 2017 and have filled out all online forms on Sportsware. Click on the heading for that information.

Emily Samisch Commits To Murray State

Collierville High School goalkeeper Emily Samisch has verbally committed to continue her education and athletic career at Murray State University. The junior played an instrumental part in the Lady Dragons state finals run a year ago. This year she has helped lead the team to a 10-3 record. Murray State competes in the Ohio Valley Conference.

World Language Culture Night Is Tuesday, September 26th

World Language Culture Night is sponsored by the CHS International Club and is open to everyone from 4:30-6:00PM in the CHS library. The goal is to learn more about different cultures, languages, and more.
There will be a special presentation on Mexico and Argentina to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! Food from all over the world will brought to you by International Club! (anyone is welcome to contribute to the potluck). Come out and celebrate with the International Club.

Twelve CHS Seniors Named National Merit Commended Scholars

CHS is proud to announce that 12 seniors have been named Commended Scholars in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. These scholastically talented seniors are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise based on the PSAT taken last October. Only 3.3% of students taking the PSAT qualify to be commended scholars. Congratulations to the following CHS commended scholars: Nima Babajani-Feremi, Nicolas Brockman, Reis Chehardy, Anurag Epparla, Ian Healy, Landon Johnson, Benjamin May, Canon McLarnon, Dharmenkumar Patel, Keerthana Raja, Kendall Sewell, Rachel Shin.

Students From Houston Affected By Harvey Receive Cards From CHS

CHS AP World History and Facing History students adopted students from a Houston High School that were affected by Hurricane Harvey. The students sent over 200 letters of support and encouragement after the tragic event. The Houston students were very appreciative and while it may be a small gesture it made a big difference. Just another example of how giving and compassionate the students of CHS can be.

Draco Playhouse Production of Pinocchio Ends Successful Run

The Draco Playhouse ended a tremendously successful run of Pinocchio over the weekend. Everyone that went had a great time and the show received rave reviews. The Mousetrap, the classic Agatha Christie mystery, will be the next Draco Playhouse production November 9th-12th. Stay tuned for more information as you don't want to miss out on a chance to see the longest running West End show in history.

MIM Student Exchange Program for the Czech Republic

Each year, Memphis in May selects students from Memphis and Shelby County schools to participate in a unique opportunity to visit the present year’s honored country. This year's country is the Czech Republic. The student group lives with host families, attends a local high school and experiences the sights, sounds, and culture of the honored country. The program is offered at no charge to the students and lasts for 10-12 days, enough time to give the students a true experience of the country without interfering with their school year.

CHS Now Has 11 National Merit Semifinalists

CHS is thrilled to announce our 2018 National Merit Semifinalists. Each of the semifinalists has an opportunity to continue in the National Merit Scholarship competition. Only 1.1% of students qualify to be semifinalists. The Semifinalists are: Nirmal Bhatt, Nicholas Hayes, Yumin Lee, Richard Li, Michael Linder, Kaitlyn Linney, Sebastian Mobo, Akaash Padmanabha, Jefferson Wang, Maia Woodard, and Jeffrey Yu.
