About the Director

Sherry Fuller is a native Memphian with more than 20 years of experience as a music educator and musician. She has taught within the Memphis City Schools and Shelby County Schools Systems in Tennessee and the Cumberland County Schools in North Carolina. Her experience also includes successful private studios in both states. She is a member of several professional organizations including WTSBOA, TMEA, ASTA and NAfME. Recognized through the years as a Disney Teacher of the Year Nominee, Grammy Foundation Teacher of the Year Nominee, Governor’s School of the Arts Teacher of the Year Recipient, Who’s Who of American Teachers, and a VH1 Grant Recipient, Mrs. Fuller continues to follow her passion of music. Mrs. Fuller received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Memphis and pursued additional coursework from the University of North Carolina. She regularly attends professional development opportunities such as ASTA string teacher workshops held throughout the US and the Tennessee Academy for the Arts. Mrs. Fuller has performed with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Germantown Symphony Orchestra, River City Concert Band, Bavarian Brass Band and a plethora of small ensembles. Additionally, she has performed in the touring productions of Beatle Mania and Carousel. She continues to enjoy performing in local churches and theatrical stage productions. She is married to her best friend, Dr. Theodore Fuller, for 22 years. They have a beautiful and creative daughter, Aimee. The three share a home in Collierville with their attack cats, Cookie and Silky. AEA
