4. JAMES FLUHR IN “OUR LADY”
Author-director-actor Fluhr delivered what I called “as stunning a piece of performance art as you’re ever likely to encounter” in this autobiographical NYC Fringe entry about the effect of homophobic bigotry on gay teenagers. Fluhr’s titular avenging goddess, fierce, funny, and unstoppable, was entirely too dangerous to deny recognition.
