NSPW is September 5th-11th

National Suicide Prevention Week (NSPW) is an annual weeklong campaign in the United States that aims to inform and engage the general public about suicide prevention and warning signs of suicide. By drawing attention to the problem of suicide in the U.S., the campaign also strives to reduce the stigma surrounding the topic, as well as encourage the pursuit of mental health assistance and support people who have attempted suicide. This year’s weeklong campaign will take place from September 5th-11th. Collierville High will show support for those directly and indirectly affected by suicide by wearing purple and teal awareness ribbons on Thursday, September 8th.  Please see Ms Smith in guidance for more information
