Was the Reds' 2016 winner of the Heart & Hustle Award for his passion for the game...in 2014 was a finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award...in 2012 was named to Baseball America's All-Rookie team...holds the modern franchise record for HR by a rookie shortstop (15 in 2012)...in 2011 was an International League All-Star and a Baseball America Class AAA All-Star...in 2010 received the Mary E. Barney Award as Louisville's Most Valuable Player and was a Baseball America Class AAA All-Star...in 2009 was a Southern League All-Star, the organization's Minor League Player of the Month for June and the SL's Player of the Week for 6/1-6/7...in 2008 was a Midwest League All-Star and a Baseball America Class A All-Star...in 2004 graduated from Collierville (TN) High School, where he starred in baseball, basketball and football...played baseball at the University of Mississippi.
 
Drew Pomeranz
At Collierville High School, went 20-6 with 11 saves, a 2.21 ERA, and 312 SO in 181.0 IP. Selected by TEX in the 12th round of the 2007 June Draft but decided to attend the University of Mississippi... Named Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Year and earned All-America honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association as a junior...As a freshman, was named a Freshman All-American and All-SEC Freshman. Older brother, Stuart, was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2003 June Draft by STL...Father, Mike, lettered 4 years at Ole Miss and was selected in the 13th round of the 1988 June Draft by MIN...Uncle, Pat, also lettered 4 years at Ole Miss and was selected in the 18th round of the 1983 June Draft by CWS.
 
Tucker Tubbs
Tubbs was selected by the Boston Red Sox with their ninth pick in the 2015 First-Year Player Draft…Played all four seasons at The University of Memphis (203 games) compiling a .291 career batting average with 25 home runs and over 200 hits…He hit 17 of his 25 homers in 2015, finishing third in the country, and posted a .601 slugging percentage…Named First Team Academic All-American his senior season.
 
Kevin Hall
Former Collierville Dragon and University of North Alabama All-Gulf South Conference catcher Kevin Hall; signed a free agent contract with the New York Mets organization in 2016.  Hall, a two-year starter at UNA in 2015 and 2016, led the Lions and was among the GSC leaders in virtually every offensive category this past season. He hit .390 with eight home runs and 41 runs batted in, scored 49 runs, stole 16 bases and had a .468 on base percentage. Hall led the Lions with 21 multiple-hit games in 2016. He started all 47 games for the Lions this season and played five different positions during the year.
 
Brandon Montgomery
Lettered four seasons at Collierville High School for former University of Memphis player and coach Jeff Hopkins ... Hit .467 with four home runs and 30 RBI to help the Dragons post a 29-12 record in 2014 ... Registered 26 stolen bases in his senior season ... Reached base at a .531 clip and slugged .742 ... Logged 18 walks against 16 strikeouts in his final year at Collierville High ... Named All-State in 2014 ... Helped guide the Dragons to their first state championship in 2013 ... Three-time All-District honoree ... Played with Memphis teammates Bryan Cruse, Jacob Elliott, Cody Duncan and Connor Alexander at the 2014 Shelby County All-Star Game ... Holds Collierville High School records for single-season steals (26) and hits (62) ... Named Collierville's Varsity Rookie of the Year after his sophomore campaign ... Named to the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Super Sophomore Team in 2012.
