Baseball Alumni Begin MLB Seasons Monday

Two Collierville High School graduates will begin another season of Major League Baseball on Monday. Zack Cozart (2004) will start at shortstop for the Cincinnati Reds and bat lead-off. Drew Pomeranz (2007) is in the starting pitching rotation for the San Diego Padres. Both alums are in their sixth season at the Major League level.

Three Foreign Language Students Place At U of M

Twenty-eight German and Spanish students competed this weekend at the University of Memphis Foreign Language Fair. Congratulations to Alina Bates - 3rd place in the Level 3 poetry recitation for Spanish; Swati Kinger - 2nd place in Level 2 Spanish poetry recitation; and Cori Robinson - 3rd place for Level 2 Spanish poetry recitation. Collierville Soccer Takes Smoky Mountain Title

The Collierville High School Boys Soccer Team improved it's overall record to 7-1. The Dragons defeated Brentwood, 2-1, and nationally ranked Mauldin (SC), 3-2, to claim their division's championship in the Smoky Mountain Cup. The Smoky Mountain Tournament Series is the nation's largest Boys high school soccer tournament. It is presented by Adidas.

Each year, all PTSO Board Positions re-open for election in May. Please consider volunteering your time to CHS. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to be involved in their teenager’s high school lives. Our Board meetings are currently the 3rd Friday of every month at 9am. CHS Places 5 In Top 10 At Chemistry Olympiad

Collierville High School was represented in five of the the Top 10 spots at the 2016 American Chemical Society High School Examination - Memphis Section. These students will be recognized at the High School Chemistry Luncheon on April 21, 2016 at Christian Brothers University. Click on the link to see the scorers in order.

Emma McVay received a Gold Key for her drawing "Freckles". She also received a Silver Key for photography and mixed media. Emma is pictured with Ms. Chapman at the Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards. Congrats!

CHS Student Wins Big at Gymnastics Meet

CHS student, Grace Bardes recently competed in the TN State Optional Gymnastics Meet-Level 9. Grace had a clean sweep with medals in every competition. We wish Grace the best of luck in her Regional competition April 7-10.

Trevor Ring Named Academic All-Star

Senior Trevor Ring is an accomplished athlete, gifted scholar and a true leader among his family and friends. He holds a 4.38 weighted grade point average and scored 31 on the ACT. He has received his letter of appointment to the United States Naval Academy and plans to follow a family tradition of serving his country in the Armed Forces.
