Catching Up With CHS Alumni: Michael Druhan ('12)

Collierville High School graduate Michael Druhan (2012) of Spring Hill College (SHC) was named as an honorable mention member of the 2016 Postseason All-South Region Team for NCAA Division II as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

Former Dragon Lacrosse Standout Tallies 100th Point

Cheyenne Bray, a 2012 Collierville High School graduate, continues to add accolades to her impressive collegiate lacrosse career. The Tusculum University senior recently recorded her 100th point. She becomes only the third player in Tusculum history to accomplish the task. Bray was an All-State selection as a senior at CHS. She was named the Dragons Team MVP all four years on the varsity squad.

Catching Up With CHS Alumni: Tyler Dixon ('11)

Collierville High School graduate Tyler Dixon is earning national recognition. The former Dragon was named the National Player of the Week for the week of April 4, 2016 by Collegiate Baseball news and Louisville Slugger. Dixon, an outfielder for Murray State, hit .619 with five home runs and 12 RBIs.

Baseball Alumni Begin MLB Seasons Monday

Two Collierville High School graduates will begin another season of Major League Baseball on Monday. Zack Cozart (2004) will start at shortstop for the Cincinnati Reds and bat lead-off. Drew Pomeranz (2007) is in the starting pitching rotation for the San Diego Padres. Both alums are in their sixth season at the Major League level.

Catching Up With CHS Alumni: Lauren Bell Cox ('07)

Lauren (Bell) Cox, Class of 2007,was a credited featured extra on the Netflix popular political series House of Cards. She came in on the 4th episode and filmed through the end of the 4th season around the Baltimore, Maryland area. She was cast as secret service for the character, Claire. Lauren is currently pursuing an acting career on the East and West coasts between football seasons with husband, Morgan Cox, of the Baltimore Ravens.
