2nd Annual Dragon Wrestling Camp will be June 11th-14th

The 2nd annual Dragon Wrestling Camp will be June 11-14 from 9am-12pm. The goal of the camp is to develop an interest and love for the sport of wrestling. Campers will be taught technique and conditioning through a variety of drills and games. It will be open to all boys AND girls in rising grades 1-9. Registration is $125.00. Early bird registration (before May 11) will be $100.00. This is a great way for your son or daughter to try out the sport before committing to an entire season. Collierville Baseball Pummels Houston Mustangs 17-0

The area's top ranked baseball team continued their winning ways, Wednesday night, as the Dragons defeated Houston 17-0. Touchdowns and field goals weren't scored, but runs were a galore. 2019 catcher Riley Davis put on a show going 4-4 with 4 RBI's that included a double and home run. Evan Chatlosh, Carson Rees, Mitch Austin, and Jared Shelton had a pair of hits. Starting pitcher, Peyton Calitri, was dominate - allowing just one hit and striking out eight. With the win, the Diamond Dragons improve to 16-2. Houston falls to 9-11.

Collierville Softball Hammers Houston 18-1

Congratulations to the Softball team for their 18-1 victory over Houston Tuesday night. Colleen Blaszkowski improved her record to 11-3 scattering 6 hits while striking out 4. The Lady Dragons pounded out 14 hits in 3 innings with Mikayla Savage, Marley Baymiller, and Lizzie Christensen each going 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’S. Taylor Smrt went 2 for 4 with a deep homerun over the left field wall and a team leading 5 RBI’S. Maria Maxwell, Colleen Blaszkowski, and Rebecca Diamond each had a hit with an RBI.

The Lady Dragons improve to 11-3 on the year.

Dragons Baseball Adds Another Dramatic Win in 2018, Defeats Franklin 5-4

The Collierville High School baseball team stole the lead late in a 5-4 victory over Franklin in their 2nd game Saturday. The game was tied at three with Franklin batting in the top of the seventh when Peyton Calitri's wild pitch allowed one run to score for Franklin. Kobe Perkins tied the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. Noah Hattier doubled off the top of the fence and Marcus Bersoza had the walk-off single. Hattier went 3-for-4, with a HR, to lead the Dragons offensiviely on the day.

Calitri got the win for Collierville. He went three innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out two and walking zero.

Collierville finished the weekend in the Warrior Classic 4-0. The team improves to 15-2 on the year.

Ole Miss Commit Jack Dougherty Throws Complete Game 1-Hit Shutout, 10 Ks

Jack Dougherty shut down Station Camp, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Collierville Dragons baseball team to a 10-0 victory in their first game Saturday.

The Ole Miss committ went went six innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out ten and walking one.

The Dragons belted two home runs during the game. Marcus Bersoza had a dinger in the fourth inning and Carson Rees had a long ball in the third inning. Offensively, the Dragons collected nine hits on the day. Rees, Evan Chatlosh, and Bersoza all managed multiple hits.

Collierville Baseball Sweeps Stewarts Creek and Blackman in Warrior Classic

Congratulations to the Collierville Dragons baseball team on their pair of quality wins, Friday night, to open play in the prestigious Warrior Classic in Murfreesboro. The Road Dragons blasted hometown teams Stewarts Creek and Blackman. Collierville got the victory in the first game by a score of 13-3 behind another outstanding performance by Tennessee-Martin signee Tyler Sherman. Designated Hitter Jared Shelton homered for the Dragons and had 4 RBIs. Shortstop Noah Hattier was 4-5 at the plate.

In game 2, the Dragons defeated Blackman 11-7.

The Collierville offense produced 12 hits in the high-scoring affair. Jacob Burks earned the win for the Dragons. He allowed one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out two. Zach Jackson, Gabe Nicholson, and John Gibbs all put in work on the pitcher's mound in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Jackson recorded the last six outs to earn the save. Evan Chatlosh and Carson Rees had three hits each for the Dragons in the nightcap.
