Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am very excited to begin a new school year and to guide your child through Ninth grade English.
Just to let you know a little about me, I received my Bachelor’s in English Literature from Vanderbilt University in 2005, and my Master’s of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis in 2009. This will be my 9th year teaching high school English. I also coach Boys and Girls cross-country and track and field. It will be my third year at Collierville High School.
As for this class, being organized and prepared are extremely important components of a successful year. Please take the time to read the requirements and classroom rules. In addition, students are responsible for having assigned outside reading texts.
Thank you again for the opportunity to work with your child. I look forward to a great year of challenging activities and rewarding experiences.
