Criminal Justice SDC is a continuation of Criminal Justice I and II. The course focuses on theory and criminal justice system overview, courts and law, law enforcement, corrections, and juvenile. Credits: 1.0 (Grade Level: 11-12 / Prerequisite: Criminal Justice II)
Special Note: Students are eligible for college credit based on their score on the SDC challenge exam. Students who meet or exceed the exam cut score will receive credit for CRMJ 1010 that can be applied at any Tennessee public postsecondary institution.
.Level 4: Dual Enrollment Criminal Justice
Dual Enrollment Criminal Justice is a college-level introduction to the American criminal justice system in its three dimensions: police, courts, and corrections. The course reviews its development from ancient and early English beginnings to present time. Credits: 1.0 (Grade Level: 11-12 / Prerequisite: Criminal Justice II)
Special Note: This course is an asynchronous, online course. Upon successful completion of the course, 3 hours of college credit (CJUS 1100) will be awarded by the University of Memphis.
Level 5: Dual Enrollment Intro to Courts
Dual Enrollment Intro to Courts is an introduction to American courts, emphasizing the functions, operations, and practical realities of crime control in American society. The course also reviews career opportunities within the criminal justice system. Credits: 1.0 (Grade Level: 11-12 / Prerequisite: Dual Enrollment Criminal Justice)
