Summer School


2018 Collierville High School Summer School

Students must have prior approval from CHS Administration to attend any outside summer school program for credit. Please contact your child’s school counselor for approval.



Due to the move to the new building, CHS Summer School will be held at Collierville Middle School this year.


Week 1: June 4-7 Week 2: June 11-14 Week 3: June 18-21 Week 4: June 25-28


Credit Recovery: 7:30-11:30 AM and 12:00-4:00 PM


$200.00 per half credit; $400.00 per whole credit

Make-up Time:

$30.00 per 1.5 hours

Payment Method:

Visa, MasterCard, cash, cashier’s check, or money order payable to Collierville Schools

Non-CHS Student Registration (Availability will be determined after CHS student registration.)

Credit Recovery Options:

English 9, English 10, English 11, English 12, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Finite Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Economics, Personal Finance, US Government, US History, World History & Geography

*All students must follow CS policies and procedures. Failure to do so could result in dismissal from summer school.

*Credit recovery coursework is only allowed for students who have failed the course. Please see your child’s counselor if youhave any questions.




  • Tuition must be paid in full at registration.

  • No cash refunds.

  • Be certain the class is needed and that you are enrolling in the correct class. No refunds.

  • All classes are offered pending adequate class enrollment numbers at registration.

    Failure to comply with these rules will result in expulsion from summer school and forfeiture of tuition paid to Collierville High School. Because summer school operates at a much faster pace than regular school, it is imperative that all students work to their ability each day.

  • The use or possession of any tobacco product while on campus is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate expulsion from summer school.

  • Fighting will result in immediate expulsion from summer school.

  • Students must dress appropriately for school. The regular CS dress code policy shall apply to

    summer school.

  • Students are not permitted to leave the general summer school area during school hours

    (including break times). Students MAY NOT return to their cars, leave campus, or go to any

    other area of the building or campus during break time.

  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the classrooms.

Classroom Behavior:

  1. Respectful behavior will be exhibited toward CS employees and fellow students at all


  2. Students will not engage in harassment, intimidation, nor disorder at any time.

  3. Language (spoken and written) and conduct must be appropriate for school.

  4. Students are to attend class daily and be on time.

  5. All credit recovery courses must be finished by June 28th. Any students unable to

    complete their course work by this date will not receive credit.

  6. Students missing 3 days will be dropped from class rosters, and their spots will be filled from the available waiting list.

  7. Upon the student’s 2nd disciplinary referral to an administrator for inappropriate conduct/ lack of cooperation, he/ she will be expelled from summer school and forfeit summer school tuition.

Detach and return this portion to the high school in order for the student to remain in class.

Collierville High School will offer credit recovery only for the summer of 2018.
