For all grade levels: The CHS College Fair will be Tuesday, September 4th from 6:30-8:00 PM in the cafeteria. Students from any grade can attend. Over 60 colleges will be represented!

Athletics

Weekend events:

Boys and girls cross country will participate in the Twilight Classic at Mike Rose Soccer Complex Saturday.

Varsity volleyball is in Hoover, AL competing in the Hoover Tournament.

 

Any girl interested in playing lacrosse needs to come by room A606 for more information.  Fall conditioning begins Wednesday September 5 at 2:45 at Johnson Park. All girls must have an updated physical and be registered in Sportsware.

 

 2018-2019 Basketball Cheer applications are available on Mrs. Cristi Parker’s Basketball Cheer page. You may print your own or pick up a copy from room A210 AFTER school. Please do not come between classes.

 

 The nationally ranked CHS Varsity Pom team is hosting their annual pom clinic on Thursday, September 13 from 6:00-8:00pm (check-in begins at 5:30pm) here at CHS. This clinic is for girls in grades K-8, and the cost is $28 plus a registration fee ($35 late registration after Sept. 8). The girls will perform the routine they learned during the clinic before the football game on Friday, September 14. Register now at www.chspom.com.

The Collierville Dragons eSports Team will have its first meeting on Friday, after school in the community room.  If you are interested but can’t attend the meeting, please see Mr. Bear in the TV studio.

It’s CHS Alumni night at the football game Friday! Pre-game festivities and on field activities for pre-registered alumni of any graduation year.

 

Make sure to have your student pre-purchase football tickets in the cafeteria Friday. We are expecting a large crowd and anyone with a ticket will be able to go right in the gate and avoid long lines. Sales will be set up in the front of the cafeteria during all lunches. $7 per ticket, cash only.

JV boys and JV girls golf will play the tournament at Plantation Country Club at 3 pm.

Attention all those interested in being on the Dragon Robotics team this year - There will be a meeting after school from 2:15-3:00 on NEXT Wednesday, Sept 5th in the STEMnasium. (rescheduled from 8/29)  This is an informative meeting to explain the application process, for students only. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Underwood in E104.

 

The counseling department has created a pamphlet that lists teachers that offer tutoring with their available dates and times. If you do not see a teacher’s name, he/she tutors by appointment only and you can contact them directly to arrange.

The girls soccer team is traveling to Knoxville for a weekend tournament.

 Boys and girls golf is facing Bartlett at Audobon Country Club at 3:30.

 9thgrade volleyball visits Houston while varsity travels to Kingsbury. Both matches begin at 4.

 9thgrade football will host Munford at 6 pm. The game will take place at Herman Osteen Field.

Congratulations to the freshman football team on their defeat over Covington Monday night, 43-14. This brings their record to 2-0.

 

The weekly scholar athletes were named yesterday. Congratulations to Camryn Peterson for cheer and Ethan Ray for golf. Way to go!

 

If you are interested in the Dragon Bowling team, please see Coach Ludwig in room A909 during school or after for important information.

Interested in swimming? There is an informational meeting Tuesday the 28th in the community room. 6:00 for returning swimmers and 7:00 for new swimmers. See Coach Ingram in room A229 with any questions.

 

Congratulations to Camryn Peterson for making the Tennessee All State Cheer squad! She will cheer at the East vs. West game December 7th.

 

Fine Arts
