Psi Alpha National Honor Society
Psi Alpha Psychology National Honor Society
Psi Alpha is an international honor society for high school students interested in psychology. It offers members academic recognition, opportunities for leadership and community service, scholarships, and a pathway to connect with other college honor societies like Psi Beta and Psi Chi. Psi Alpha meets after school.
Membership Requirements:
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and a grade of B (80) or higher in a psychology course and involves a one-time membership fee for new members. The membership fee covers the cords, certificate, and organizational activities. Members must be in good standing with their school and community. This means they should not be on suspension, facing legal action, or have any other issues that would be unbecoming of an honor student.
Service Hour Requirements:
All seniors are required to earn 20 service hours to be eligible to get the graduation stole. The service hour form is due no later than 2:30 on the first Monday of March your senior year. Not all volunteer hours can be earned with the same activity. They need to be earned from at least 2 different organizations. If you are unsure about your service hours, then please ask the leaders or advisor.
