Currently, Joey is enrolled in Calculus III through a Dual Enrollment program with The University of Memphis. Joey attended the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Sciences and Engineering. He qualified and participated in the AIME and Fermat II math exams.
Accomplished in the arts, sports and academics, Joey plays the piano and the viola. He made All-West and has performed with the Germantown Youth Symphony for four years. He is a two year member of the cross country team. In addition, he is a leading member of the Math and Knowledge Bowl Teams. As a summer intern at the U of M, Joey worked with a computational physicist studying computer simulations of particles.
Joey is a National Merit Semifinalist and AP Scholar. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and English. He attended Boys State and was elected Senate Minority Leader.
