Elise McMinn

McMinn's participation in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) has exposed her to the broad fields of medicine. She leans toward Biomedical Engineering as a practical application of her interests. She has taken a demanding schedule that has included seven AP classes and 15 Honors classes. She is an AP Scholar and was accepted into the Tennessee Governor’s School for Science and Engineering.

With a commitment to staying true to her convictions, Elise has earned the respect of her peers who describe her as “exceptionally trustworthy and truthful.” Currently, Elise is participating in a clinical internship program where she goes to different medical facilities and shadows the medical staff. Her favorite situation has been observing in an orthopedic clinic, because she can see how biomedical engineering has improved the quality of life for patients.

Elise is a member of the Cum Laude Club, National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Beta Club, National English Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society.
