National French Honor Society

To gain membership into the National French Honor Society, students must be in the second semester of their third year of French and have maintained an A- (90) average or higher in French throughout their secondary school study of French. They must have maintained a B- (80) average or higher in all other secondary school subjects prior to the semester of selection.

The aim of this organization is to stimulate interest in the study of French, to promote higher standards of scholarship, to reward high scholastic achievement and to create enthusiasm for an understanding of francophone culture and civilization.

The National French Honor Society is an honorary organization. Therefore, no service hours are required. We meet only once a year to induct new members into the organization.  During the induction ceremony, students receive a certificate from the American Association of Teachers of French.
