Lifespan Development
Course Description
This course builds basic knowledge in human growth and development. The course standards include developmental theory, principles of growth in the areas of physical, emotional, social and intellectual development, behavior of children from conception through adolescence, adult development and aging, and death and dying (the grieving process). The students will participate in a parenting simulation project.
Artifacts and models will be created for inclusion in a portfolio, which will continue to build throughout the program of study.
