The Pride of Collierville band program receives Tennessee’s highest performance honor.
The Collierville High School Wind Ensemble has been selected as one of two top high school programs to perform at the Tennessee Music Educators Conference on April 21st, 2023.
The application process for this honor involves showing achievement over many years by submitting recordings to be adjudicated amongst other great band programs all over the state of Tennessee.
The Wind Ensemble has performed top wind band music since 2018. The skill and dedication needed to achieve musical excellence at this level is beyond the normal skills for high school musicians. Under the direction of Director of Band, Mr. Thomas Richardson, the wind ensemble has received consistent superior ratings in concert band assessments and the TBA honor of distinction for excellence in concert band.
