ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum's Cheyenne Bray was tabbed the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Wingate's Arion Pierre was named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played Feb. 8-14, the League announced today.
Bray, a senior from Collierville, Tenn., put in four goals and dished out one assist to lead the Pioneers to a 19-11 win over Shorter on Feb. 13. The attacker posted two draw controls and picked up one ground ball as she put all six of her shots on frame. The award is her first Offensive Player of the Week plaudit this season.
Pierre, a freshman from Haymarket, Va., posted 13 saves in her first career game for the Bulldogs. She posted a 68.4 save percent against nationally ranked Mount Olive in 60 minutes in goal. The honor is her first Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
