CHS Has 5 Tryout for TN All-State Team, Camryn Peterson Makes the Team

In order to be selected to the all-state team, contestants were judged on three things. Fifty-five percent of the overall score was measured by an entrant’s performance. Five categories went into judging performances, including tumbling, cheering, jumping, dance and overall impression.

Another 25 percent of the overall scored was measured by an interview. Competitors were measured by their eye contact, personality, confidence, content and overall impression.

The final 20 percent that contestants were measured was by their applications. Entrants must have had a minimum grade point average of 3.0, have done community service, involved in extracurricular activities, provide two letters of recommendation and write an essay.
