the course request process for next school year at Carver High School is now open please use this video is a step-by-step guide in completing the course request process before getting started you will want to locate the Court's request Resource One the Carver High School website first click the academics link on the main menu and then scroll down and click course request we recommend downloading and looking through the CHS program of studies the information contained this document will be vital in helping you to select your focus area complete your for your plan and finally choose your courses for next year once you have reviewed the program of studies simply go back to the top of the Court selection webpage in Step 1 to review your graduation requirements next you will move on to step two by selecting your focus area Carterville high school offers 16 different Focus areas and every student at cths will feel like the focus area that best suits their inter future plants during step 3 you will complete your for your plan this step will help to ensure that you are able to take advantage of all of the courses offered as part of your focus area finally and for it is time to select your courses for next year students will make their course collections through PowerSchool therefore you must know your PowerSchool login information if you do not have this information please see Miss Jennifer Sisson in the can play office or contact her by email or phone now you are ready to log in and select your courses for me to grades and attendance train locate the icon for class registration in the column to the left this one new class registration screen each category is listed in the same order that it was on the course offering sheet for your grade level be sure to read the instructions below each category and then click the edit button every option available to you within the cat we will pop up simply check the course that you would like to take and click okay continue this process do each of the categories listed please note that if a category has a red X Point beside the edit button you must select a course in that category before you can submit every student will choose a courses courses that are paired together or have special instructions will have the information listed beside the course title and number please be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of the course selection screens because some categories will have more than one page of options for you to consider in addition also supposed to my to alternate courses these courses cannot be the same as the ones you have previously selected students will only be enrolled in alternate courses if one of their original course request is full or does not fit into their schedule alternate please do not count towards your total of 8 once you have clicked on all of your request of courses check to make sure that the total at the bottom says requesting a credit hours if it does click the submit button at the bottom and a list of your requested courses will appear in the coming weeks your school counselor will review your course elections and we'll meet with you to verify that everything is correct if you have any questions along the way please do not hesitate to reach out to your school counselor or so ago headed to see all that next year holds for our dragons
