Early Post Secondary Opportunity (EPSO) Parent Informational Meeting

We will be holding an "EPSO 101" parent meeting on 2/15 before parent teacher conferences at 5pm. Feel free to attend to learn more about what an Early Post Secondary Opportunity (EPSO) is and how CHS will be providing EPSO’s for all students in the future. This meeting is a precursor to EPSO Evening on 2/20, where families will be able to explore specific EPSO opportunities offered next year.

Community Preview of Online Samples for Textbook Adoption

Collierville Schools will host a preview of online samples for Section C: Science, Wellness, Fine Arts, Media Arts, and A/V Technology and Communication. These sites will be active for parents and community members to preview the materials that are up for adoption by our district. CHS Leads the State in Presidential Scholars Candidates With Nine

Congratulations to Benjamin May, Akaash Padmanabha, Kendall Sewell, Rachel Shin, Jefferson Wang, Anurag Epparla, Nicholas Hayes, Richard Li and Maia Woodard for being named Presidential Scholars Candidates. Only about 2,600 or .0667% of High School Seniors qualify for this honor. Good luck to these students moving forward when the Presidential Scholar Semifinalists will be announced in mid April. CHS Band to Collaborate With Distinguished Wind Band Conductors

The Collierville High School Band is excited to welcome and collaborate with two nationally distinguished wind band conductors this weekend! The band will be working closely with both of these clinicians in an effort to prepare for the state concert band assessment in March. The clinicians will be working with the students for over ten hours to refine thier musicianship, tone production, articulation, rhythm, dynamics and a host of other skills required by these performers. These are all skills and development opportunities that help make the music jump off the page to engage the audience. Click on the link to read more about these conductors.

CHS Now Has Twelve Students With a Perfect ACT Score

Congratulations to Senior Joshua Darby and Freshman Emily Sun for achieving a perfect score of 36 on the most recent ACT. They join Nirmal Bhatt, Anurag Epparla, Ben May, Rachel Shin, Maia Woodard, Richard Li, Akaash Padmanabhe, Nick Hayes, Jefferson Wang, and Kendell Sewell in achieving this very rare accomplishment. Only 1/10th of 1% of students taking the ACT score a perfect 36.
