The Counseling Office is open daily from 7:15am - 2:30 pm for students to stop by and talk to their counselor to discuss their academic plan, connect with scholarship and financial aid, address any social/emotional concerns and much more. Parents and students are welcome to contact their counselor to make an appointment.

Professional school counselors are certified/licensed professionals with a master's degree or higher in school counseling and are uniquely qualified to address the developmental needs of all students. Professional school counselors deliver a comprehensive school counseling program encouraging all students' academic, career and personal/social development and help all students in maximizing student achievement for all students.

Natalie Poorman Participated in the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall

Natalie Poorman, CHS violinist, was a part of the 2020 High School and Young Adult Honors Performance Series program at Carnegie Hall and the Musikverein this past January! The Finalists hail from 48 U.S. states, Guam, 4 provinces of Canada, Bermuda, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Qatar, South Korea, and Taiwan. They had a fantastic weekend rehearsing and performing at Carnegie Hall.
Natalie is the first violinist to be selected from the Collierville HS Orchestra and the third string student from our program. Additionally she participated in All-West this past weekend and will be at All-State in April. She is the Concertmaster for our orchestra. She will continue this role as we go into our local competition in Memphis and a National Competition in Chicago in March. She is an active musician and has a very good reputation locally which is earning her paying gigs.
Congratulations Natalie! We are so proud!

CHS Has Seventeen Named to the All-State Band

Congratulations to these 17 students who will represent CHS in the All State bands. This is the highest number of students CHS has taken to All-State in School History!!

Woodwind Quintet Win Chamber Competition for West Tennessee

Congratulations to our Woodwind Quintet -Karis Ko, Lauren Bristol, Erin Smith, Alex Gilluly and Nathaniel Smith for winning the Chamber competition for West Tennessee!! These students will represent West Tennessee at the All State Conference in April.

Knowledge Bowl Team Advances to the Final of the WREG Knowledge Bowl

Our Dragons defeated Southaven High School tonight in the Semifinals of the WREG Knowledge Bowl tournament. They advance to the Championship against White Station and will tape that match next week. You will be able to watch them compete on tv on April 11, May 9, and May 23—each on WREG Channel 3 at 9:00 AM on Saturday. Be sure to tune in, and please congratulate the team: Brandon Zhang, Harrison Stewart, Alex Zhang, Sudhev Sudheer, and Emily Sun.
