The fall application process is reserved for Seniors only.
11th graders who received a rejection in the spring of their Junior year are encouraged to reapply when announcements are made in August of their Senior year.
If accepted into NHS, the fall induction ceremony is usually scheduled for September in the evening.
“Spring” applications will go live in late December and close mid-January.
10th & 11th graders are encouraged to apply in January when the application process is announced. If you are unsure of your GPA, but think it may be close, go ahead and apply. GPAs will be verified by counseling during our selection process.
11th graders who receive a rejection in the spring of their junior year are encouraged to reapply in the fall or spring of their senior year.
12th graders may apply in the spring if they received a rejection in the fall.
If accepted into NHS, the spring induction ceremony is usually scheduled prior to Spring Break in the evening.
Special Note:
If you were accepted and inducted during a previous semester or school year, you need not apply again. You are still a member unless you were otherwise notified due to a failure to abide by the NHS Bylaws and National NHS Constitution: Violation of Honor Code, Failure to maintain a 95 GPA, Failure to complete Permission form or Pay dues.
Transfer students:
Please ask the NHS sponsor from your previous school to email Ms. Parker (rparker@colliervilleschools.org) to verify you are, indeed, a member in good standing. We will add you to our roster and email group.
