Winners of MLGW's 2024 Student Poster Art Contest were recognized during the May 7, 2025 Board of Commissioners meeting. MLGW sponsors the annual Student Poster Art Contest for Memphis-Shelby County school children in grades K-12. Entries are divided into four categories based on age/grade.

Winners of the 2024 Student Poster Art Contest created a new character for the utility's "Power League" of superheroes. Student artists designed "Sol Man" to teach others about solar power, how it is used, how it is generated and how it's distributed.

Shinjini Ghosh was named the winner of the Grades 9 – 12 category. She received a plaque, a copy of her poster printed on canvas (like a painting), and a gift card worth $125.
